Here I found supplemental worksheets including Math, Language Arts, Phonics, and other Printable Downloads. I had no idea that this website has such a wealth of materials available to the educators’ disposal! Here you can find a quick FAQs sheet, or full page upon page detailed guides to using Starfall with your students. One of the neatest things that I have discovered on this journey to using is the Parent-Teacher center which I was not at all familiar with before. The Parent-Teacher Center is my happy place! The parts that she uses she really likes, and she continuously tells me that she wishes that there were higher skill levels available for her on the website. My oldest daughter, AppleBlossom is finishing up a few second-grade skills, but mostly working on the end of her third-grade curricula and in the process of some fourth-grade material. At six-years-old, working on a combination of Kindergarten and First Grade skill, she is the prime candidate for this program. The Princess also really likes the phonics (cat), the kid, the mouse… oh wait, she’s going to keep listing things! She loves a lot of the website. While the Princess listens to the sing-a-long while doing just about anything else during her school or free part of the day. My AppleBlossom loves working on her multiplication and division math facts and building the foundation of her skills. The Rascal savors coloring different images (click the crayons) and he also loves the sing-a-long (castle with the play button). For us, I have really let their imaginations run and allowed them to be self-directed and they have no trouble finding something to explore. Here from this dashboard my students can decide what they want to work on. After we authorize our computer and allow Flash to load, we get a screen much like this green screenshot image above. On our computer and in the device apps, we use our membership login to open up the wonders of the full website and program. There are so many elements that we can use and we aren’t using it to the fullest extent, but someone that chooses to will have a world of tools at their fingertips. More often than not, I had to ask them to stop focusing on Starfall to get their other work done! All of my children love Starfall. Unlike some review products and school events, I did not have to ask my kids to go and fulfill their Starfall time. Our laptop has a lot of struggles and crashes, but it can handle this website and plug in a few headphones and I’m one happy mama. My middle daughter and perhaps the oldest as well most enjoys accessing the website through a moderated Chrome browser on a dedicated Asus laptop for the children. Many times, I have found my middle daughter listening via earbuds to some of the nursery rhymes and lullabies or stories from the app on her Kindle Fire Freetime profile while working on her math or cursive work. Being able to allow my son to click on an app, that is logged in through his Amazon Kindle Freetime child moderated profile makes it so simple and appreciable for me as the mama as well as for him. Now, we are intrigued and relishing our time exploring the full online membership of the website as well as using our login to enjoy to the fullest extent the apps on our Kindle Fire(s), iPad 2, as well as our moderated browser laptop and computer access for the children. Over the years, we have used some of the free elements of Starfall on their website directly from a computer or laptop. Starfall is a website with elements that are also available through android and iOS apps. Technically, if you include the times they hold her up to witness it all, even my newest addition at nine-months-old is enjoying interacting with Starfall as well. Or rather in our case, from my youngest student using this as a pre-k curriculum at three-years-old through my middle daughter at six-years-old and even the eldest at eight-years-old is able to benefit. This year with our interactions with the Homeschool Review Crew we were blessed to receive a one-year subscription to The Starfall Home Membership giving access for the whole family. Ever since I started homeschooling with littles, one of the names that have come up over and over as a recommendation for some online learning is the Starfall Education Foundation.
